This 1/2-inch x 1/2-inch straight coupling is manufactured from high-grade fiberglass reinforced nylon. It is noncorrosive; using high-quality materials approved for use with drinkable water. This 1/2-inch coupling is designed to connect a range of ID nominally sized polyethylene pipe, tube, and hose with varying wall thicknesses. The connection can be made by hand, without tools. This coupling is re-usable and utilizes a unique way to connect pipes without the need for multiple replacement parts. The unique blue captive nut seals stay on the ridge and seal the pipe on the ridge. Barb inlet and outlet connection type, fits 1/2 inch nominally sized polyethylene pipe, tube, and hose. This coupling is used for the most rigorous agricultural and horticultural uses. The maximum pressure is 230 psi and the maximum temperature is 140 degrees F.
